GrainRoots is a daily-essentials brand for people walking away from plastic — bamboo toothbrushes, tongue cleaners, loofahs, wooden combs and pens. The founder came in with a product line and the conviction that small swaps add up. We came in with the rest: a brand identity, a custom-designed online store, ten pages of content, and a launch they could actually run.
The challenge
Eco-essentials is a crowded shelf. Most stores in the category lean on stock photos, generic templates and the same tired green-leaf signalling. The brief was to do the opposite — feel warm, opinionated and personal; speak honestly about what's good and what isn't; and stand out enough on a phone screen that someone scrolling past actually stops. All of that, on a launch budget, in 4 weeks.

A custom design language we called Fresh Pantry
Built from the ground up — typography, palette, motifs and the way they all behave together. Nothing borrowed from a template. The brand reads like a thoughtful pantry, not a tech startup.

An emerald-and-lime palette that owns the shelf
Cream as the canvas, deep emerald as the brand voice, sprout-lime as the accent that highlights every key word and CTA. A warm clay and rust pull the page back from feeling clinical.

Custom-coded online store, no off-the-shelf theme
We designed and coded the storefront from scratch. Eleven custom homepage sections, custom product pages with sticky cart and trust strip, custom collection grid, a bundle page that doubles as a hero. Designed to feel as deliberate on a 5-inch screen as on a desktop.

Ten pages of brand content, written and designed
About, Why Bamboo, Sustainability, FAQ, Contact, Wholesale, Track Order, Plastic-Free Pact, Refer, Gift — each page has its own narrative, its own visual rhythm, and one job to do. Written in the brand's voice, not stitched from templates.

A launch-ready store, not just a build
Six products live, photographed and merchandised. Five smart collections that auto-populate as the catalogue grows. Two menus, payment configured, shipping zones drawn for India, sales tracking installed. Hand-over with a one-page guide so the founder runs it themselves.
